Mutant NFT Crops are crop items that can appear randomly when growing item on the farm. Mutant NFT Crops can be from all the currently plantable items. This includes Cabbages, Apples, Koi Fish and Cow.
If the item turns into a mutant within its growing stage, then it will be called one of the following: Ice Cabbage, Steeve Apple, Coin Fish and Hello Cow.
When you collect these items, then they will tell you a value in Wai tokens. This value is the total number of Wai that the item will be able to produce. When you place this item onto the ground, it will generate 200Wai (you need to claim) everyday, until you reach the maximum Wai if your item. Once you reach the maximum, you will not loose the NFT item, however, it will stop generating Wai every 24 hours.
Once your item runs out of Wai, you will still be able to use it in a potential "trade-in" event for new Mutant NFT items.
Mutated Crops will also be needed for an aspect of Default Land in the future.
MarketPlace:
Mutant NFT items are NFT items. This means that they can be traded on the Wanaka Marketplace. In order to do this, you have to withdraw the item from the game though your Wallet Interface on the Marketplace Website. It does not matter which stage your item is in, if it has remaining Wai or not, or if it has claimable Wai. All of this will be accurately reflected when you withdraw. Once you withdraw, you can sell you NFT item on the open market.
Similarly, you can also buy items the same way. You can purchase Mutant NFT items, then deposit them into game and collect Wai every day until it runs out.
WARNING: Many people try to sell Mutant NFT Items for cheap when they do not have any remaining Wai to harvest. This means that you will not earn any Wai from the item in game. ALWAYS check the remaining Wai instead of the total Wai if you plan on getting Wai from the item after purchasing.
On the right you can see a good example of what to be wary of. This mutant NFT Cabbage is being sold for a very cheap price and may lure some people into buying it due to its 1200Wai max reward. However, when you look closely, you can see that it actually has 0Wai remaining and 0Wai Claimable. This means that despite a 1200Wai max reward, you will receive 0Wai.
*If you want the item for other uses, and not for Wai generation, then it is completely fine, however, please be careful.
